New design (a work in progress)

Surprise! I’ve given the blog a make-over. I was bored with the old design, and felt i needed a little more grown up design. I’m still not happy with it, so over the next couple of days/weeks i will be changing and tweeking things, until i’m happy with it. But i do like the clean, minimalist look.

I’ve also decided to sign up for The Curator’s Code: “This is what The Curator’s Code is – a system for honoring the creative and intellectual labor of information discovery by making attribution consistent and codified, the celebrated norm.” The Curator’s Code

So from now on, if you see a weird little symbol attached to a source, just click the symbol to find out what it means.

crafting my way through the holidays

The past week i’ve been doing nothing but watching old movies and crocheting. I’ve watches Singing in the Rain, White Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life, Forbidden Planet and Harvey. And a lot of Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
I’ve been working on a crocheted stuffed animal. I’m using a fluffy yarn that makes it look like the animal is made of the softest terrycloth. But with this yarn it’s impossible to see individual stitches, so i just have to feel my way through. It also means i’ve had to adapt the pattern a bit. I find it impossible to do front post stitches when i can’t see what i’m doing.
Can you tell from the photo what kind of animal it’s going to be?
